Searching for a place on the beautiful Lagoon in
Bacalar? Look no further!
The Yak Lake House is right on the water with an
amazing view that will make you never want to leave.
Come and spend some time in paradise! The facilities
include a private dock that stretches out into the
lagoon with a breathtaking view of the sunrise, a
wonderful bar and we are located right across the
lagoon from the infamous Pirate Cove! For those who
want to explore the lagoon, be sure to check out the
tours to Pirate Cove, the cenotes, and more!
The Yak Lake House is located right on the beautiful
lagoon and only 2 blocks from the famous St. Felipe
Fort Museum and city centre. While walking for less
than 5 minutes, you can find restaurants, markets, the
health centre, and artisan stands for jewellery and
souvenirs. We are located about a 15-minute walk
from the ADO bus station, which is situated just outside
of town on the highway.
The Yak Lake House offers comfortable
accommodation in both private rooms and shared
dorms, all with private bathrooms. Each room has
powerful fans and A/C to keep you cool at night. For
those who are not trying to completely disconnect in
relaxation-mode, we have Wi-Fi throughout the
premises.
Yak Lake House is a place where nature and comfort come together. Bacalar Lagoon is breathtakingly beautiful and the private marina allows you to enjoy sunrises as if painted by an artist. The calm waters invite leisurely strolls and the on-site bar creates an atmosphere of total relaxation. FROM CANCUN AIRPORT
Take an ADO bus to Cancun centre or Playa
del Carmen and then take a bus straight to
Bacalar.

BY CAR
From Cancun take the highway to Chetumal,
it takes approximately 4.5 hours.
From Chetumal take the highway to Cancun,

FROM CHETUMAL AIRPORT YOU HAVE A FEW OPTIONS 

 • Private Airport Taxi, (with yellow line and black
plane), costs around 600 MXN pesos.

 • Share Airport MiniVan, it costs 200 MXN pesos per
person and it leaves you directly at the door of the
hostel.

Other tips
Once you arrive at Chetumal Airport, walk for approx
500 mt on your right until you arrive at a roundabout
and then get a taxi to the ADO terminal, it will be
approx 80 pesos, and from there take the bus to
Bacalar that costs around 60 pesos!
The last option is to take a taxi from the ADO terminal
or from the roundabout that costs approximately 300
MXN pesos!

 • Share Airport MiniVan, it costs 200 MXN pesos per person and it leaves you directly at the door of the hostel.
